looks like FB on OSR, but is infact minute slugs. Had three doses of miniXX, doesn't seem to have done anything. Pellets still there, slugs not interested. any way of stopping them?
What are peoples thoughts on neighbouring trap crops for csfb?
I mean leaving old osr stubbles to green up again hoping the beetle will feed on them as opposed to the nearby newly drilled rape
One downside is slugs, anyone now practicing this method ?

Never mind net zero by 2050 : that’s a long term policy that will maybe only hold us where we are today in terms of warming, that’s even if we can achieve it globally which seems highly unlikely.
What concerns me more is the next decade.

Flea beetle must have a predater.
What eats them?
I have some swedes & the best ones under net just getting 4 true leaves but taking some damage from the flea beetles, I'm reluntant to treat because cabbage root fly is the bigger problem & ground beetles eat the rootfly eggs.

Trying to remove or at least slide back the grain pan floor beneath the concave. Undid the hooks at the front that pull it forward. Does the whole pan floor slide backwards out or is it just front sections? Obviously very tight as jammed with rust and debris. Removed too sieves to get access...
We have a big issue with grass weeds and it’s getting worse. We are ok if we have a big spread of crops but it simply just doesn’t pay due to poor yields of spring crops such as spring linseed, spring barley, spring beans spring wheat. We’ve also tried grass but without our own livestock we get...
We are fast approaching harvest 22 and looking now to harvest 23 for cropping decisions, but the cost and margin picture looks very different to this time last year.

With the massive issue of cooking oil supply world wide would it be prudent for the government to at least scrutinise any data since the ban to see if there is a genuine argument for the reintroduction of this seed dressing.
Surely this is an emergency measure which could be introduced which...
