Looking at getting a plain disc mower (no conditioner), as should be able to get one that's 13ft-14ft, mow quicker and generally less to go wrong (hopefully!). We have a 6 star tedder to turn it if needed.
Are there any makes that are better than others or some that really should be avoided...
At home I reseed about 5-10acres a year, currently plough with 2 furrow conventional plough then work down with seed harrows, this is due to most fields being less than 5 acres and being undulating and triangular, it can be very time consuming and I’ll like to speed the job up to do more, I’m...
Afternoon all.
Got the above and get on well with it last couple of years.
Firstly I appear to have dropped a drum? Fallen half inch and fouling the blades and the saucer. I assume bearing gone but no noticeable lateral play? How do these drums strip down?
Secondly would anyone have one lyjng...

Hi all, I have an old but functional kverneland Ta327f front disc mower and I need a few bits to get it ready for work again. One top hat has hit something and is beyond repair, plus the left and right hand blade protector/ skid units are worn out. I wondered if anyone has a mower that they are...
I know its an ancient thing, but does anyone have an owners manual for a Kidd Clipper 200 disc mower? I believe it is an old Kuhn mower with a conditioner added on, thanks in advance, Angus.
Hello,
Im looking at a 956xl.
Anything to look out for before buying?
I know it’s over kill but it’s for a bit of haying work. Small baler and mower.
Would a 165 drum mower work or would you take half the mower cut out with the tractor width ?
Hi and happy(ish) new year to you all.
We are planning to turn a field over to grass and make small hay bales for the local equestrian market. About 2.5 Ha total. We have a baler and handling equipment and a Vicon speeder 300 that's been heavily modified to fluff and aerate straw behind our...

Hi all,
Looking at upgrading my old two drum mower for a wider disc mower to be able to cover more ground (Krone Activemow or similar) What sort of size would folks recommend behind a Massey 3070? Not wanting to stress it too much, don't want to break the rear casing/cross arms at all! Was...
Something of a long title, but needed to get it right :)
I am going to have fair few ha of herbal leys in two years time with a % being cut for conservation every year, probs as wrapped haylage for cattle.
All the guidance seems to say leaving a long stubble is paramount to preserve the...

This seems like a good deal, but I'd need to factor in delivery vs buying local for list price(ish), so want to work out the options before wasting the dealers' time. I've had a decent few years out of a...
