Ok bear with me here.
A 2nd hand loader say a 434s v a newer but still 2nd hand loadall 531.
8000hrs v 3500hrs money similar enough to consider both options.
Usability aside more from a reliability stand point. Used on the pit(434 only would use contractor if bought loadall), loading mixer...
I'm needing something to feed bales to sheep in the paddock. Like the look of these side discharge feeders (Keenan). I've got some good red clover silage.
Would I need one with knives or would a mixer suffice? Maybe knives would be best as then it could feed finishing cattle inside as well?
As finding good staff becomes harder and harder would a service using a sensible sized self propelled diet feeder with up to date diets automatically loaded to feed your milking, dry cows and who ever else gets a TMR on your farm accurately, mixed and presented consistently be of interest...
Bed motor on the feeder wagon died this morning. Would make life so much easier if anyone is coming this way and could transport it some of the distance. Thanks folks.

We are looking at a new tractor this year it is an extra as our cropping these days means one tractor has to sit on row crops for the majority of harvest. It’s main jobs will be haulage of cattle, grain/silage/straw carting, rolling, mowing, avadex/fert spreading and relief feeder wagon tractor...
So in the latest antics of why I've had a f**king enough, a portion of the milkers (25ish) escaped last night and have broken through my gates (and of course bent them in the process) ans then helped themselves to a tonne of dry cow rolls, 1-2 t of calf cake and half a tonne of grass seed
Do I...
Needing a new purchase unfortunately. Think a 1.9 metre 3 ram albutt is my favourite. Although it has hardox tines and I'm unsure how easy they will push into the clamp?
Second option an £900 cheaper is a quicke 2 metre 3 ram with kv straight tines. Athough i dont think its as strong built but...
Seven years into my CFA and we finally have some decent infrastructure. For this winter I will get by with the machinery I have but looking forward to next winter I'm still struggling to work out the best way to physically feed silages to the cows.
This is the layout we nearly have now...
has anyone got one? Really like the look of them in the cab but not seen one in the flesh we are looking for an extra tractor to take the strain off a tractor with 12000 hrs but keep the old one as a spare. Jobs would be grain/silage cart, rolling, mowing, spraying with big mounted sprayer, fert...
My CS110 has a problem with the pto as it only engages for ten seconds or there about before it switches it’s self off, i take it that’s it’s an electrical fault but not sure where to start any advice greatly receive.

What’s the thinking on new handlers now?
Ive a Merlo 32.6 that’s due refreshing 1000hr ish a year but don’t like the look of these new deadman switches that seem to be coming in. Is this all over the new market board or just Merlo?
Would be thinking along the lines of a 42.7 or 38.10. Any...

Trying to redo the business plan as and when I have time and would be interested to know what everyone budgets for silage these are my figures I came up with at breakfast about right? Seems too much but I've done everything as realistically as I can for a multi cut system doing 6 cuts per year...
