Hello all, I’m looking for a barn to rent for 2-3 small ponies around ormskirk burscough way. Would consider grazing or even stables but ideally a barn it would be easier for us. Open to any suggestions or options really just need them closer to home. Thank you!
Hi all, bought a Vicon 8 star tedder a few months ago and have only just noticed that the 2 prongs of the tines are not uneven lengths like you would expect on a tedder. They are instead the same length like on a rake. Is this normal for that machine? It does a good job but guessing might do a...
I was originally planning on drilling some spring rye (ovid variety) as Im gonna need quite a bit of extra forrage this year for the cattle & rye seems like a good yielding, fast growth cut, but someone local has some winter rye seed which is quite alot cheaper.
Can winter rye be drilled in the...

The phrase ‘make hay while the sun shines’ certainly comes to mind right now with the long-awaited arrival of summer temperatures seeing farmers out saving hay and silage for the winter months ahead. With a lot of farmers looking at a second and maybe even a third cut, do they have sufficient...
Hello Everyone.
I have just cut new hay and I was thinking, would anyone would be interested in buying hay rolls from Latvia, the hay is at its best quality, and I would be open to talk about import from all over Latvia.
Baled 40 acres of bay a bit green, to avoid impending rain... which never came.
Bales now 5 days old and reading 24% on moisture meter.
How bad will it be? Wads clogged together like carpet?
Plan to leave it stacked in 2 wide x 1 deep x 6 high stacks outside to let the air get round it...
Looking for a load (approx 700 bales ) of nice clean meadow hay in packs, will be travelling back from Exeter in about 4 weeks time. Payment on collection

I have a 2009 fendt 930 and the engine piled up on it while it was connected to our air drill mid seeding season. My dad needed to hook his other tractor up to the drill, so he pulled the fendt out of the way with it. he moved it about 50 feet very slowly. however he was not aware that you...
Hello, I believe I have itch mites in the straw as the sheep are beginning to scratch in the house. Has anyone experienced this and how do you treat?
thanks in advance
Hey all
Just wondering when the best time to spread manure on hay ground I was hoping to spread it after 2nd cut some time in late august early September. Would this benefit the soil and the grass at this time of year?
Thank you for the input
Does anyone have pictures of something they have attached to the pickup reel to guide the hay in. I struggled with missing bits this time I though maybe a small rake wheel like off an acrobat or similar?
Hi there,

Also, we have a demand...
