Our 2015 hiux. 3.0 engine is in for its mot.
They can't put engine management light out. It's the dpf filter putting on they say.
I've suggested the usual pikey farmers solution like removing the bulb and putting black tape over light.
Anyone deleted it or any other solutions?
I've got a 2021 Toyota Hilux Icon and when the trailer is attached the reverse light on the trailer comes on for a few seconds and then goes off.
It seems to go off when the reverse camera comes on.
Any ideas of how to solve this?

Hi All
Looking at potentially purchasing a new D Max and wondered if there’s anyone with one that tows regularly?
I know on paper it should be fine, but I’ll be towing up to 2.5 ton in very hilly west wales and I’d love real world reviews on whether its actually going to be up to the job...
Seems a modern fad with no advantage to me Today my Navara was in for service so asked my mother to run me to York to collect it . I drove her car there and she drove her car home, Great until she stopped for some milk and found out i had her keys in my pocket and it would'nt start A...
I am contemplating shifting our old JS130. Local dealer has offered me a JS131 or JZ141 zero tail swing for similar money. Same age jz slightly less money but maybe 1000hrs more. Approx 6500hr v 5500.
What are the drawbacks to the jz. Have read that access to engine can be tight.
Is it likely...
Just looking into getting a new pickup which do people find is the better engine? Looking at their figures the 2.8 seems better on fuel is this possible my gut feeling is I think the 2.8 would be better but we don’t do that much heavy towing anymore as we use a tractor for livestock hauling also...
Just a Heads Up

Need a family vehicle to tow 2.5t horse box, most interested in cost of ownership, reliability, comfort, high performance not necessary, will do a few miles so mpg is also relevant but not top priority. All I can see at the moment is vw Tiguan, Volvo Xc60 and Disco Sport. Budget £25k give or...
The faithful old ranger has died. Time for a replacement unfortunately. I’m not fussed on the newish rangers so thinking between an l200, an Isuzu, Nissan or a hilux. Will be somewhere round the 18 to 20 year mark. Would quite like to go auto. Just wondering thoughts and opinions. I’m not a...
looking to buy a used Ranger. should I consider the 2.2 engine or only the 3.2. In the 3.2 it will probably be a wild track, can the big hoop/roll bar be easily removed from behind the cab
My 19-year-old is going out to New Zealand this backend to work over there for 4 months with a couple of mates., hopefully a great experience. a question from someone that has never ventured far from Yorkshire, is there a system / card that he can preload with his money to use over there and add...
