Excuse my ignorance but there seems to be a big variation in power used to drive triple mowers.
What makes the difference and what mowers are power hungry and what aren't. We'd have 250hp available, pretty heavy crops 2 cuts per year for sucklers. Wouldn't be under much pressure, be buying...
following on from the thread about JD getting too expensive and someone claiming mccormick were dearer cost of ownership per clock hr than fendt or deutz i thought it could be worth discussing some actual figures, ill go first
NH 210 bought 2020 for 88k
trade in 2015 NH 210 10k hrs, 24k
Our 7495 has developed an intermittent fault.
When driving on the road and decelerating down a hill the drive sometimes seem to briefly disengage/ re-engage/ disengage/ re-engage.
Other times the transmission drive sounds like its fluttering or resonating but again, only when decelerating down...

I have recently heard of two tractors catching fire, and the cause is thought to be to doing with some thing happening when the particulates are being burnt off.The makes of tractor were a Case and a New Holland ( yes I know they are basically the same tractors).
Has the above been known to...
Has anyone put a Case CVX240 over a weigh bridge? Trying to compare to a JD 6215R which according to the brochure is 8.5t but the Case claims 7.3t. Lots of varibles here such as weights, fuel ect and shipping weight varies to operating weight

Hi all
Noticed quite a few people have questions about the newer McCormick Tractors as they're gaining market share.
If you'd like to know anything about them then please just ask and I'll do my best to answer. Please don't ask for prices as that's a job for your local dealer! Also please...
evening all got problem with a jd 6215r the rear hitch controls on mudguards don’t work just wondering where to start looking to find the problem or if anyone else had same problem thanks
So, today my neighbour took deliver of a new Fendt 1050, and keen to show it off he brought it over for me to have a look.
That got me thinking, what benefits does having 500bhp have? My 8330 is tuned up to 350bhp, pulls my 8m Mounted Tine drill comfortably along with my Vaderstad Tempo R. No...
Good evening all
I’ve been using gps on tractors for just over a year now so I’ve got the gist of it now but I’m looking a purchasing either a jd 6215r or massey 8s.225 and was wondering how much rtk subscriptions are as a rough guide
Many thanks
Can it be done? Of course I will ask my dealer, but I thought I'd seek experiences in here too.
JD 6215R Autopower approaching 5 years old with Powerguard for 5 years from new. It does grain hauling during harvest, some ploughing or power harrowing then pulls a sprayer from most of the spring...
Looking at a new massey 205hp. Next model up is 225hp and £3300 more. We don’t really need the extra power. In 5 years time with 2500 hrs on it will the higher horse power tractor be worth around 2k more.?.
These are my 3 tractors for 2500 acre arable and a few sheep. I love the simplicity and yet have enough tech to do everything I need.
8530
7930
6930
Lowest hours 4400 highest has 6500.
but I will keep rebuilding them as nothing else really floats my boat.
Two things really.... would this type of hitch go on a massey 2190 big baler as it is a pig to hitch up and if it would any one know the cost to do it?
