Hi all. Looking to replace my 4 rotor tedder for a 6 rotor, something like a lely lotus 770 (now made my MF new). Have had quotes from a couple of dealers, what does everyone have, do you like it and is there much difference between brands? Theres a second hand lotus in the local case dealer for...
As above but what's the most dense bale to wrap, can be round or square. Just trying to work out if a 6string square is heavier and uses less or more wrap than a modem round chopped bale to wrap.
Basically tons per roll of wrap is the key.
Do these 6stringers even have choppers? We have a 4...
does anyone do this? i find it drinks half the fuel to put it in 1000 and just run it low revs, will it damage the machine starting it up in 1000 though?

One of these has come up locally at a very sharp price, tidy, 37,000 bales, retired farmers machine. Getting on a bit now but I don't mind mucking around with older gear and know my way around a spanner. Baling long, mature, dry silage & haylage.
They seem to be a bit of a marmite...

Hi
Heard a lot about Sip on here but never spoken to an owner.
I'm seriously considering the 340 (3.25m) silvercut plain mower.
Got a few quotes and it's been whittled down to that or a plain kuhn, will either be the 3.1 or 3.5m.
3yr warranty for sip gives confidence. Anyone running them...

If it is considered as just an expensive way of...

This is a thread for those who feel guilty about cluttering up dear old GUTH’s beloved price tracker with the chit chat that stop us all being that miserable our families would throw us all out to sit with the dog in the porch. All are welcome, you can even post prices if you want. The only rule...
User opinions welcomed . I had a demo of a Krone 120x90 in haylage and was blown away with its output over my 3 year old NH 120x90 is this due to its design of rotary pre chamber ? Is a Claas the same or are the new type Case and NH balers up there in output now ?
Cheers
Hi, we currently run a bb9070 and are looking to upgrade next year, looking at a 1270. Just wondering what anyone's views are on this newer model?
Thanks
