Never assume. Cereals has been held on a Wed/Thu for as long as I can remember, but I've just realised this year's dates fall on a Tue/Wed. Bit of a pain to reorganise other things that week. lesson learned. Wonder why they have moved the dates though? Tuesday used to work well as a first day.
In my search for a SP sprayer I’ve found an ex demo mounted setup. It’s 2000l rear tank + 300l clean water and 1600l front tank. Basically with my trade in trailed I could get into this machine for about £30,000. What size tractor would you need to run this setup. We are mostly flat and minimal...

Agricultural tractor sales across the pond are still sluggish, while in the UK they are on the up so far this year.
The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) of North America has published its latest sales data for 2023 which shows a 12.1%...

Would you go down this route to do a few acres of grass on a stock farm each year? Or get in a contractor? Are balers at that sort of budget likely to cost more to maintain than a contractor would cost to hire in? Just wondering on past experiences with a troublesome mower. If f spending that...
I'm looking at new front mounted flail toppers to be used mainly for CSS grass strips, legume mixes and game cover crops. Only roughly 14 Ha's so relatively low use.
I'm looking at both a Perfect 2.8 and McConnel Magnum 2.8 mainly because they are in stock in local dealers.
Any opinions on either.
Just been looking at a potential purchase with a non-visible (and non-pushback!!) puh. Has anyone ever got a "stick-on" mirror to put on the opened cab rear window to allow a visual image of that elusive little hook??
Just heard back from my mob and apparently they want me to "hire in" a H&S consultant Co for all the paperwork etc linked to grass cutting and broadleaved weed spraying. Utter farce if you ask me, they also want details of training and environmentally friendly practises etc.
I am suspecting that...
Looking for some advice with my brand new Fendt 724 Gen 6.
It arrived before Christmas and did not get to use it until after in the new year. Managed to do some ploughing and with only 8.5 hrs on the clock it had a breakdown where 2 bolts came loose and pushed off the timing belt. This...
Weighing up our options, currently running a 7310r as our prime mover but we only really need the power for 3 months of the year. Thinking a 6250r with the new hyd boost may be a more versatile option? Needs to be able to pull a 6m horsch sprinter on 5"dutch coulters well which is about as hard...
Currently run a MF7726 and a MF8730 which our only ad-blue tractors - 19 & 17 plates. Do we use E9 or 10-40 engine oils? Also in our collection are older tractors such as a Fiat F130 , Case MX170 , T8050 ( basically a Magnum ) , Househam sprayer and a 07 CR 9080 NH combine and an old MF3080 for...
John deere 7810 is cutting out out of no where sometimes, just wondering does anyone know why, the filters and everything are fine, it’s just like the diesel is dropping back out of it, anyone know why?
Have a load of armco to install around buildings this winter (about 600m) its used stuff so the galv wants painting now to smarten it up
with a lot to do i’m thinking a airless sprayer would speed things up, do a better job than a brush and maybe even save expensive paint ? We do a lot of...
First off are they any good ? We have proper 2 stroke Sthil saws but thinking for odd gardening jobs and log cutting etc it might be less hassle and lighter weight etc ?
if so what’s best ? we have a fair bit of Milwaukee 18v stuff so thinking maybe best as i have batteries / chargers...
