Prices of a loader tractor these days?

So it’s getting to the time I need to start looking at replacing my tractor. Before I go asking dealers for prices and then faint when they tell me. Roughly what are people paying for a 140-160hp tractor with a loader. Also what’s your thoughts on the tractor you bought? Do you wish you got a...

    Front end loader cost

How much ball park would it be to put a front end loader on a T6-175 2019 new Holland. Has the secondary joystick already and is plumbed ready for the front links. No brackets in tractor at moment.

Puma propshaft went for a 2nd time after 500 hours.

I had a new bearing carrier and propshaft put on my 2016 puma 160 last year at 2400 hours. Genuine parts used at £730 and £350. Its now at 2900 hours and seems to of done the bearing carrier in, funny shaped seal popped out, smoking and knocking noise happened very quickly. Back onto lowloader...

Anyone know how to activate the reverse fan on a 2020 T7, I’ve tried pressing the button and holding it, but all it seems to do is beep a couple times but nothing happens

    Welder recommendation

Looking for some advice about welders I’m completely new to welding, never done it at all. Idea is that I can fix breakages without having to go to the local fabricator and maybe make a few simple things too Thinking of buying a fairly basic but decent welder for farm use, one that has is easy...

Letter in FW from 'Animal Rising'

(I misread the name...thinking it was 'Animal Rebellion'...there's seemingly so many such movements) They want gov to fund us to transition to wholly growing/supplying plant based diet. So, I'm confused....what should I try growing here? I'm on 1500 acres of peaty granite, with circa 100" of...

    Gas Strut Ball Joint

Just had a gas strut ball joint thread shear off when I opened the tractor door. Thought I had some spares from replacing struts that have broken previously because they always come with the ball knuckles too, but I can't put my hand on them. Is it possible to buy the ball joints on their own...

How does fendts dpf work ?

Hi guys, new here so hello all , small farmer/contractor , I'm.a fendt man at heart but lately I'm finding it hard to get local dealer or anyone to explain how the dpf regeneration works on a fendt , looking at 718 possibly 720, as I understand it , I'll have to park the thing up for 40 minutes...

Case Maxxum 130 CVX electronic spools on joystick, SCR fault

Hello all, We have just bought a Case Maxxum 130 CVX, 2016MY, it's a bit of a spaceship compared to our other tractors, which are all stockman spec. It's more or less my dream tractor spec, first CVT gearbox I've driven in anger and it's a revelation. It's very simple to learn and effortless to...

The I am getting on and it’s hurting thread

What can I say , I’ve probably ruined the shite lambing thread , with my rambling on about what to do etc so inspired by @Aspiring Peasants I thought yes that’s a good idea , a thread to share your aches and pains, your trials and hopefully your wins. As we get older things can become more...

    I hate modern tractors

OK so we only buy 2nd hand ones with around 5000hrs on them then generally add at least 1000+ hours to each/year but, frig me, these modern tractors are pansies always throwing up error codes and acting up. Have manufacturers overdone it with all the sensors and the stupidity of emissions...

    Comfortable tractor

So getting a bit creaky, and have constant back issues especially after spending a few hours on our Massey 5480. Like the tractor but it only has front suspension. Our Arion has cab and front suspension and is far more comfortable. So, if I was to change the Massey what should i buy that is...

    New Holland Wheel.

I am in need of a rear wheel for my 65 plate NH T6.175 after an incident.:sick: Its on 600/65/38 tyres, would I be right in thinking that would be a 18" wide rim? I've looked and cant find a stamped number or size anywhere, Do GKN not have the size stamped on the out side nowadays? As...

    Mounted sprayer tractor size

In my search for a SP sprayer I’ve found an ex demo mounted setup. It’s 2000l rear tank + 300l clean water and 1600l front tank. Basically with my trade in trailed I could get into this machine for about £30,000. What size tractor would you need to run this setup. We are mostly flat and minimal...

    Landini Vision 4wd issues

Neighbours landini vision 105s 4wd box giving him trouble, stuck in 4wd. Started happening after questionable mechanic was at electrics as tractor wouldn’t start. Fuel efficiency tests?

Has anyone (or any magazine) done any (kind of) fuel efficiency tests on different tractors? Claas dealer claims that the 6 pot Arions are very frugal, i think that Case has one of the best efficiencies in 4 pots. If one was to buy a tractor i think that efficiency is one of the things that...

    Horsch CS mounted sprayer

Anyone see one in action to review. Best boom on the market imo. Up to 4000 l front and rear tanks with 30 m booms. BUT heavy bits of kit filled up and very pricey. Should imagine residual values would be very good though. Less mess than trailed in the wet?

6 cylinder trade in against 4 cylinder?

not a big machinery man if I’m honest, can drive them and do basic repairs but not the biggest geek when it comes to spec and all. as such I’m hoping to get a few opinions from the experts. im thinking of upgrading my 125hp 6cylinder 6620 jd for a 4 cyl nh t6 145hp (boosting to 150) Not...

    Direct drill build

Looking into using an accord type drill as a starting point, building a frame to sit underneath it, removing all the coulters and then mounting direct tines to the new heavier frame underneath. Looking at tines, looks like you can go with the weaving sabre tine, or the metcalfe tines which seem...
