Never owned a rake before and can't always get someone to rake for me. Seen some 2nd hand twin rotor rakes between 4 to 6000. What wears/do you look for when buying 2nd hand? Any makes better to consider when purchasing?
We are thinking about getting a new baler. This Claas fixed chamber model comes with or without a chopper. We bale modest amounts of hay, haylage and straw, but we don’t have a lot of labour and need to cover the ground quickly. Seeing one in action might be difficult so we wondered if anyone...
I need another mounting bracket for my fusion control box so I can put in other tractor . The one I need is like 2 plates that just slot together . Where can I buy another set ? Not sure what they are actually called
Hi guys,
I have a used McHale HS2000 on the way and I was told by someone that I will need to set my tractor up with "Load Sensing Hydraulics" to operate it correctly. My Tractors currently do not have "LSH". Is it a big job to get it fitted to them? or is there any other ways around it.
Thanks.
trying to bale straw with a mcale baler, bales five good bales the fails to roll and leaves the baler full of straw which has to pulled out by hand
would a belt baler be better ?
Hello, I’m new to this forum.
We have approx 50 acres that we normally make hay from - really nice hay. We are in central Scotland.
This year, the weather has been so unpredictable that we’ve had to make some into haylage. About 180 bales of haylage.
We are vets. We will use some for our own...

Can anyone recommend a static bale wrapper for 5 foot quadrants?
I’ve got fed up of using contractors but don’t want to buy a 998 as I’ve no wish to go contracting myself to justify it.
How much are static wrappers and what are the best brands/models etc?
Thanks
Currently running a Kuhn VB3165 round baler, is a great piece of kit apart from wrapping grass around all the rollers when bailing short, lush grass with lots of clover.
This type of crop is now the majority of our silage, would any other roller balers be better at this?
I’m guessing a...

We're thinking about slatting a shed for sheep, approximately 100ft x 28ft. Plan is to make a 4ft deep tank, two rows of columns going the length of the tank with concrete beams sitting on the columns along the length and so the fibreglass supports go across the width of the tank in 3 spans...
I am sure it has been covered but how does a TFFer stack wrapped bales?
Always on the flat here as fit together for stability and just need a spike in winter to feed them. Some suggest they keep better on ends but more risk of bales falling as they settle.
If using a bale grab to lift them by...
Got a problem with my 6150R fire it up first thing in a morning and it will sit at 13.8-14.2v but as it gets warm or doing heavier work like mowing baling etc, it starts to drop gradually and will sit at 12.8-13.2v sometimes causing a low batter fault on the baler and will drop as low as 12.6...
Anyone know of a source for roller belts on a Kuhn RW1810 wrapper? Kuhn genuine are £300 each which is crazy money
Belts have only wrapped 8000 bales, but they're stretched and the edges cracked and torn. I've complained to the dealer since it was new that belts walk across the rollers and jam...
