After a long night covering our maize last night it got...

Has anyone experience with a dual chop? Are they worth spending the extra money for processing hay and straw for a diet feeder as well as bedding duties, or just get a normal straw chopper and pay some one to come with a proper machine to do the bales for feed?
Currently have a 3 ram 6 ft (1.8m) Mchale shear grab , 11 yrs old never bent/snapped a tine no cracks or welds but starting to show some wear, now Mchale don't make these grabs anymore where do we turn for a replacement.

I've found a part I need on this website https://www.dhfarmmachinery.com/
They ship to the UK, and when you put your VAT number in at the checkout they don't charge Irish VAT on the price.

On October 2nd Thame Farmers will be holding the auction of the assets of a local lad who sadly died recently. Adrian ran a contracting business and his sale includes a number of classic tractors and equipment that may be of interest to regulars on this thread. The catalogue is here...
Was bailing some 2nd cut silage today.when the bale was made and ejected the net wasn't sticking and was leaving a tail.
Anyone had similar problem? Its a new baler and was using tama.
Good evening everyone :)

Looking for something that will do a...
I’ve a small farm, only 20 cattle some beef and some heifers, around 10 acres of land. I have a serious love for machinery. Normally when it comes to baling, I have mower and use the haybob then get a contractor in to bale it (normally silage). I know that for my own ground it’s not worth buying...

Morning all,
I’ve currently got two offers from my local case dealer for a new round baler, the first is a second hand 2014 new Holland br7070 crop cutter with only 4000 bales, obviously it’s pretty immaculate, they’re asking 18.5k€ for it.
the second is new case rb455 ( nh roll belt 150) it was...
I’m really struggling with bales coming out funny shapes when baling young green sugary dairy grass bales are tight and bloody heavy just weird shapes is this normal ? Or is there something I can change to improve things

Thinking of upgrading the wrapper as I’m getting to old to not be in bed early now! Only wrap about 800 a year so can’t justify a big spend, currently run an old 7515 Kverneland which has been faultless but slow with only one roll. What’s out there in the low price range and what’s best avoided...
