Who is everyone insured with? Mines up for renewal at the moment and would like to shop around, environmental cover and employee liability both on the policy. My current insurer specifically excludes environmental and I am not happy about it.
I just wanted to give the NFU Cymru team at Builth Wells a pat on the back for a job well done. They work tirelessly (contrary to popular belief) to promote the importance of agriculture to the rural economy and rural way of life in general here in Wales. The following video will be doing the...
Had a load of oats rejected with sawtoothed grain beetle, what's best way to get rid of them? I sprayed shed out with k obial before harvest but they seem hard to get rid of.
I have just got another letter from my accountant trying to get me to take out the tax inquiry fee insurance. Does anybody use it, has it been of any use in an inquiry, has anybody had a tax investigation?
I like this company, I want to stay with this company, but when their renewal quote is nearly 50% more than comparable quotes I'm going to struggle. I only have buildings and contents which started at £800 per year, since then I have accrued 30% no claims and I never even open the "renewal"...
As some on here may know I had a large water leak recently. Someone kindly pointed me in the direction of being able to claim a leakage allowance from Severn Trent.
Something I'm certainly going to look into in future is insurance to cover the cost of a water leak. Does anyone else insure...
Have had a couple of hire tractors over the past few weeks when we have been short.
First hire tractor was for 48 hours cover, full comp etc, total premium £0.00 :) For a tractor of value 50 grand.
Second hire tractor was for 1 weeks cover, total premium £6.12 :) for a tractor of value 53...
it may have done the rounds on here already, in which case my apologies for not paying attention. If not, it's worth a thought.

We have a long standing claim with the NFUM for a subsidence problem to a house (reported 4 years ago). Loss adjusters have tried every trick not to remedy a drains issue including the drain not being within the risk address and poor maintenance, much to my surprise. After much argument...
Afternoon All
Current insurers won't cover anyone under 25 on my Mitsubishi L200 or our Ranger. Other than NFU does any other insurer at a sensible rate ?
Tia
I have posted before that despite 3 generations of uninterrupted and loyal membership that this year that we decided to not renew our NFU membership.
I won't go digging back over our reasons as it's all been posted before, suffice to say its not a decision we took lightly, my father was...
Just got a quote in, first time in years we have quoted v NFU !
What are they like on claims, as they are so big in the market I am assuming they are fine, does anyone know any different ?
Their is a good chance that many of use Farmers will be protesting in one way or another over the coming weeks and months....dont worry its a certainty, but what we must not be doing is turning up with loads of new kit worth thousands of £s, we all know most of them are on finance and a lot...
On occasion both on here and twitter I have come across posts by NFU office holders which I feel do not encourage non members to join them, sometimes a little encouragement or help/advice may have gained them a new member, but it does appear they can be quite dismissive of non members.
How do...
Just had my nfu insurance renewal documents.Cost seems to go up relentlessly. We are paying about 6% of our turnover in all insurance policys.tractor cars buildings etc,How much do you all pay?
This is just a heads up warning to everyone that doesn't insure their livestock trailer.........it is not insured when it is been towed if you insure with the NFU !
Every trailer is automatically insured on the tractor policy when towed.....EXCEPT livestock trailers....... and the same with...
Must be 50% ish none members on here, some lame excuses for pulling membership as well, "his SFP was bigger than mine" just one example, surely your better off arguing your case from within,
Who do you use for livestock insurance? Do you use different companies for different animal types Cattle/Sheep/Pedigree or strike a better deal with one for all?
Once I get a few company names I'll stick a poll up to make it easier.
