    Sencrop accuracy

Anyone else struggling with a Sencrop rain gauge. I’ve had mine for about 3 months, it’s level and free of debris yet I’m certain it’s inaccurate. Take last nights rain, old fashion rain gauge reads 25mm but Sencrop tells me 17mm. On other occasions it’s been raining yet Sencrop says 0.0...

    State of your crops?

Given the late drilling date and the amount of rain that’s gone on them I’m pleasantly pleased with the state of my crops. I do have two small fields that are below par but most are looking well. How are others looking? Wheat and barley below, no rape this year but locally it looks well.

I've been looking for a fairly simple one that will connect to the internet so I can see the data remotely without paying a large fortune...

    Wireless rain gauge?

Just wondering whether to treat myself to one that can be put up in the garden on a pole. I don't want a full weather station, just external temp and precipitation, and I've found several on Amazon for 30-50 quid. But got a question... do they empty the water collector automatically? If so, how...

The what I f^cked up today thread...

A suggestion of @betweenthelines, probably long overdue for most of us, this thread seems like one with a real future to it... I'll start, something relatively minor, but irritating nonetheless: putting in some thunderbolts to hold a mini-sleeper to a wall so I can attach some rails...

Crazy yet desperate irrigation ideas !

VERY silly idea (but that’s what forums are for) .......... could you use a sprayer fed water by an umbilical system to irrigate crops ? 36m going as slow as possible (so extremely slow on cvt ) on auto steer so you could take the man out the cab with runs taking hours to complete just...

    Spring barley looking poor...

Some of the stuff i've sown is, some is ok, some is terrible! It looks like i've sown it too thin, but I've not, it is desperate for a good downpour, I was thinking while driving from them earlier, there's not been drop of proper rain since they went in the ground. How's yours looking?
