I am keen of the idea of a crawler in order to keep going when it is wet and reduce compaction. Main work will be Jones Triple bedformer and a 3 m discordon. I don’t want new nor too old it has to do no roadwork and we are busy 52 weeks of the year so it could clock up a few hours but not...
I am looking at changing two rear tyres on my MF390 16.9 x 38, we don't do very much road work and I am not sure wether to put Radials or Crossply on!
Any thoughts and suggestions of preferred makes etc, greatly received.
How stable are trailed sprayers? Particularly Chafers.
Currently running a demount and have managed everything with it. Tank sits up pretty high behind cab on fastrac. Obviously plan loads so tank nearly empty when spraying across steep bits.
Hi all, What would the opinion be of running a Talex/Samasz 185 size mower on a 60hp two wheel drive, do you think I would be on the edge for weight and possibly even HP? Thanks

I’m currently using a jd6930 pulling a 4200 Ltr trailed sprayer.. was thinking of buying a Jd 6130r . How comfortable would the same sprayer be on that tractor? Also how good a tractor is it ? Thanks ?
My spring wheat sowed end of march is fairly decent crop but looks a little less green than it should. Would like to put 125kg/ha of Can but have no rowcrops for spreader tractor. But have for the sprayer. Would foliar spray of melted urea help. Am only talking about 10 ha. It will be going for...
Hi been offered a good chance to go owner driver and buy my own machine . Looking at machines at 65k and also have a contract for minimum 6000ha is it worth making the move . Insurance prices should I be expecting to pay minimum charge for small areas under a ha or price per hour for small jobs...
I have to fit a set of row crop/intermediate tyrs as we are changing from SP to trailed sprayer. 480/80 R46 looks bast option for us. Does anyone have experience of either the Continental Tractor 85 tyre or the Michelin Yieldbib? Contis cheaper by £900 for the four!
I know I'm tempting fate but when is it going to rain ? No doubt when it starts it won't stop but it would be nice to have some mositure soon ! No grass, crops struggling going to have to start feeding sheep before long !
Hi - currently run a Bateman Hilo of 1993 vintage with around 6000 hours on the clock - lovely light sprayer and does the job well, but as dad does less hours and I do more in evenings, weekends and holidays I have been looking at upping capacity (a bit). I really want a tank that can hold at...
I want to make wheel changes safer on our SP sprayer.
Currently use a large metal stand with bottle jack. The problem is usually lowering which isn’t very safe.
thinking either air powered bottle jack on the same stand or a “sprayer jack”.
Are they good? How much are they?
I am on about those pieces of equipment that have rollers on a frame (which is on castors), which fits in the front and the rear of the the large tyre/disc centre ,and a small hydraulic ram which takes the weight of the wheel ,so that one can pull the wheel of the tractor etc, and place it...
Just thinking out aloud...
Little David Brown and Box Seed Drill, would I see any benefit from adding a pair of cage wheels to the tractor for either winter or spring sowing?
What's the good and bad things about them?!
