NRoSO have changed the rule about collecting points.
You now have to collect 10 every year, not 30 over 3 and you will not be allowed to roll spare points over to the next year.
Yet another "straw on the camels back" of rules and regs. that have to be remembered, not just getting the points, but...

Fendt is now seen as the premium brand within the AGCO group. This is hardly any accident as it has belonged to the US giant since 1996 and 27 years gives plenty of time for the corporation to position the brand where it wishes in the market.
Today, the...

Cutting silage by a self-propelled harvester is now such a standard feature of the season that most of the drivers working alongside them will have been born well after they appeared on the scene during the 1980s and 90s.
Dragging a harvester along...
Hello everybody,
After much frustration I am drinking a cup of tea and have decided we need to buy a new strimmer - something which actually lasts 15 years and does not need constant workshop repairs.
What is the strongest, toughest 4 stroke strimmer which money can buy?
A full day on a...
How do ye boys in Ireland gauge where to place the spout of the harvester over the back of the silage trailer? Any tips from ye experienced guys would be appreciated. Thanks.
I find it hard when filling up the back first as I'm either too far back (missing the spout) or not back enough when...
Early today driving down a single track country lane, saw a tractor and trailer coming towards me maybe 1/4 mile or less away.
Spotted a gateway and pulled in , rather naively expecting the car that was right on my arse to do same.
Nope woman just charged past and then 100m further on she woke...
So looking to change to a self propelled from our lely storm possibly next year not sure what to upgrade to has a glance at a 492 850 jag and think something like that may be reasonable as can be got for around 35k. Know nothing about them but am good with spanner’s and can figure stuff out and...
We are very reliant on contractors for all of our silage and until recently there has been a choice of operators with round balers with choppers on.
Now we are down to just one with a combined baler/wrapper with a chopper, which we find is by far the best for feeding sheep.
Yesterday not long...

How does everybody view this subject? Possibly the most important machine on a farm so how much are you willing to pay? I bought my existing machine brand new 14 yrs ago. It cost £32,000 on farm. I’ve being having some ongoing problems with it basically due to its age and liquid fertiliser. To...
Has anyone a rough idea of price per mile of combine haulage. Combine in Scotland to come to cheshire ,about 310 miles. Have always struggled to get back loads from Scotland.
OK so we only buy 2nd hand ones with around 5000hrs on them then generally add at least 1000+ hours to each/year but, frig me, these modern tractors are pansies always throwing up error codes and acting up.
Have manufacturers overdone it with all the sensors and the stupidity of emissions...
Just passing on my take on 16 + ag college. They may not all be the same .
But probably are not much different.
Our children have to be in education until age of 18, unfortunately, this has led in my opinion to a 1 year course being made to last 2 years .which has meant my son had done and...
Looking at rowcrop tyres online.
Our current trackwidth on tramlines is 80" how can you tell if rowcrops will run on tractor at that width?
Other thing is, what brands of tractor share the same stud spacing, stud size and centre hub?
Looks like Claas and MF do, any others?
I know I'm behind...
