Last year we harvested spring barley in a 20 acre field then moved straight to winter barley in the same field. After the winter barley harvest this year we want to rotate the barley to a different silage field and grow grass on it again, but my dad mentioned growing forage rape on this field...

Anyone using these urea based foliars this year in an attempt to cut back on expensive N? If so how do you plan to apply them? In a mix with T1 or T2 fungs? Or separately? Water rates? I was only planning on applying 28l ha to apply equivalent of 40kgs conventionally applied N (or maybe a tad...

ADAS report highlights yield and margin benefits from folpet
A new ADAS report indicates that the inclusion of folpet into wheat fungicide programmes consistently provides yield and margin benefits by improving septoria control.
The report, which was commissioned by ADAMA and Syngenta...

Probably been discussed a million times but reviewing again to reduce overheads.
If I go down to 155 litres per ha instead of 200 I only need to visit each block of land once with my 2000 litre tank which is a big saving in time and clat factor.
Is 155 litres per ha adequate for fungicides etc...

Download PDF The reporting of fungicide sensitivity data can be alarming, but all may not be as it first seems. CPM digs deep into the results of Bayer monitoring data. The EC50 value only measures a change in fungicide sensitivity, but it’s not a measure of...

What are peoples thoughts on what to use for septoria control at t0 this year? Didn't do a t0 for septoria last year, only teb on yellow rust susceptible varieties, but had too much septoria in may/june for my liking.
What is there?
Folpet?
Can you get mancozeb this year?
Triazole for the...

Download PDF If you use fungicides to control plant diseases like septoria in wheat, it will drive selection of resistant populations. A meaty AHDB-led project aims to find out the best way to keep the handbrake on this process. CPM finds out more. We can have...
It seems to be accepted that strobes prolong greening of a crop. Are there any difference between strobes and is the effect still seen so much with their loss of activity? There appear to be a few papers but I can’t access them as I don’t have a subscription.
Everyones stocks of CTL must surely have dwindled now. Plenty of forward growth on crops. What people starting to think about fungicide decisions going forward?
For me:
OSR - nothing probably. But its not overly lush
Winter Barley - Probably go for a 3 spray program where I usual go for...
