    Revystar Experience

We have used Revystar on Spring Barley at "paint brush" for ramularia and it is disappointing. We used Adexar type (old stock) as a T2 on wheat and I thought we had too much septoria. My independent agronomist brought some plants from a neighbour who had used Revystar (same variety) and it was...

    What new feed wheat?

I need to replace Skyfall for this autumn drilling. It’s breaking then to rust and has had its day now. Will carry Graham for another year, hopefully more. So what varieties are worth looking at? Note I’m in the SW so good septoria scores are a must!

When to stop spraying due to heat

As title says, do you stop because of bright sun shine or when it gets too hot ? Reason for asking, today isn’t that hot (21 degrees) but unbroken bright sunshine and tomorrow will be very hot and sunny, just wondering what people’s thoughts are.

    T3

Anyone warrant doing a T3 this year? Growing skyfall and is a bit of yellow rust around so may do a cheapo one involving Tebuconazole

    T2

So, T2 has always been the big spend. Is this Revystar the complete dogs danglies? Because £45/ha gets me a lot of other chem.

    Winter wheat T1 2021

Ok, what are your plans for T1? Back in April when it was looking like another drought I was thinking keep it cheap! However we’ve now had A LOT of rain and 90% of the wheats are looking like they have some good potential. So, my and my agronomist thoughts are to go with a more robust T1 His...

    T1 Fungicide advice please

Hi all. Have been sent Skyway (very expensive) by my agronomist to apply as a T1 alongside Toledo, which I already have in stock. Wheat variety is Costello which I believe is very tolerant against rust- is there any advantage to applying the Toledo AND Skyway or can some more experienced arable...

    No fungicide 2021

nearly may and yet to use a fungicide, crops spotless clean cold, dry - could this be the first year we don’t use this group of chemicals at all ? rain could change things yet but it will need to be significant now to rebalance smd’s anyone else not applied a fungicide to wheat or barley...

Had a really busy day today, and made my first ever spray cock up, Was putting some Magphos and amino on my wheat today, and after talking with agronomist a few weeks ago I said send out some teb for the gleam and a bit of moddus or equivalent for a couple of really forward fields. Anyway...

    OSR fungicide

With November 2021 OSR worth £410/t+bonuses what are peoples thoughts on fungicides? A lot of OSR round here is struggling with CSFB and sharp frosts every night.

Who's worried about the lack of rain?

No significant amount of rain in the forecast. Should we be getting concerned yet?

    T1

Spraying with a frost at night.

Got some fungicide, growth reg and manganese to go on wheat and barley but keep getting -1 for a few hours early morning. I’m holding off at the moment, are people still spraying and do they have any bad scorching

    State of your crops?

Given the late drilling date and the amount of rain that’s gone on them I’m pleasantly pleased with the state of my crops. I do have two small fields that are below par but most are looking well. How are others looking? Wheat and barley below, no rape this year but locally it looks well.

    Future Chocolate spot control

So this year wasn't bad and didn't really show up loss of CTL. Going forward are there any EAMUs for existing products on the horizon or maybe possibly new products? AFAIK I know current approved triazoles and strobs have limited effects on Choc spot. My hunch (and a quick google) is that...
