Evening all
Stopped in January by police while I had my brothers trailer and a load of logs taking from the farm to home, approx 3 miles. I was stopped for insecure load. All the checks they did on insurance, trailer roadworthiness were good other than number plates not matching. I was polite...

I see in America it’s not uncommon to put cover crops in via a plane into a standing crop.
I think same could be done here via ag drones. For example 2 weeks before harvest to give it a nice head start. Would it work? Has anyone tried anything similar?

Looking for any nifty products / designs that will help our tractor and trailed sprayer damage our crops less. We have a Fastrac and Horsch and there are a rough bits and sharp angles that I noticed last year damaged the heads of our wheat when doing T3 and protein spray. I was thinking of...
Possibly looking at changing our trailed sprayer out this time , been a good old thing , bethould dpa , but time catching up with her and with twice the average to do next year time she has to go.
24m , 3500l plus , will be in some sidings so low centre of gravity , tracking of some kind and a...
OK so we only buy 2nd hand ones with around 5000hrs on them then generally add at least 1000+ hours to each/year but, frig me, these modern tractors are pansies always throwing up error codes and acting up.
Have manufacturers overdone it with all the sensors and the stupidity of emissions...
Our tractor indicates a ground speed of 14.6 kph for a particular job.
The Leica Mojo Mini entry level GPS seems to vary a lot but a broad centre point is .3 kph less.
From all the settings we use for fert and the adjustments we make, I wonder if the GPS is more accurate? Maybe we would get a...

Kuhn has launched the Lexis 3800, a new high capacity trailed sprayer that is said to be compact and lightweight although still capable of carrying up to 4,000L.
The new machine has a 3800L nominal capacity and takes its place at the top of the Lexis...
In my search for a SP sprayer I’ve found an ex demo mounted setup. It’s 2000l rear tank + 300l clean water and 1600l front tank. Basically with my trade in trailed I could get into this machine for about £30,000. What size tractor would you need to run this setup. We are mostly flat and minimal...
Gareth and other farmers have been getting threats on Twitter. However, this seems to be the response from a director of the Oxford Farming conference, if true is jolly bad form IMO. :(
Morning all, just asking the question,
does anyone have or seen a smaller trailer sprayer? Looking for a 12 meter one if there is such a thing , not been able to find much on Google searching .
So having asked on here a few years ago we bought a trailed 36m sprayer having taken the job back in hand due to not receiving good service from the contractor we were using. We went with a well used trailed 36m because the contractor was using a 36m SP and we liked the way the boom could cover...
Contemplating going 36m trailed sprayer how do people get on with making it fit 1.8m beds appreciate it's an even number of beds so how do you go on . Do you plant 9 beds on headlands or 10 . ? How do you go on with the outsides? Cheers for constructive replies in advance
We've recently purchased a second hand Landquip trailed sprayer. Most of our ground is flat but we've one field which is rather steep and I'm wondering if any you experts on here have any good advice for a rookie sprayer operator on how best to manage spraying on steep hills.
The sprayer is...
