Aye-up, Right then, time to make a start. Had the chassis cab delivered on Monday and have been faffing about with paperwork for first registration and MoT exemption. Got all that away and had a bit of a go up the lane with it. Bit of a niggle, it won’t change into low range on the transfer...

To dual or not to dual

Is it better to squash down half the width 2” or twice the width 1”. It’s pretty wet so anything run on will suffer. The eradicators will dig out my wheelings to some extent. Also they are big heavy barstewards that are an utter pain to get on and off, and often seem to be at the back of the...

    Navara NP300 4x4 issue

When you put your navara in 4wd does it drive smoothly when turning? Mine feels like there is something binding up making it not go round smoothly or as tight as you’re steering, in at Nissan garage and they think it is normal but I’m sure it wasn’t like this from new

What does tyre pressure have to do with ground pressure?

Other than altering a tyres footprint? On a few threads i've read different opinions on tyres size and what effect it has on the ground, some people discussing the volume of air in a tyre making the difference? Another thread saying the psi in a tyre is the psi a tractor exerts on the ground...

    Horsch sprinter 6st wheel size.

Does anyone know what year the sprinter st changed from the smaller 15inch 4ply tyres? We have got a 2010 one with these on and it goes so much better in the wet than our 2018 st on the larger 10ply tyres. So much so that the 2018 drill has had to park up but the other drill can still carry on...

    Tyre pressures for slurry spreading

I have Valtra T194 on trelleborg 650/65 r42 back and 549/65 r30 on front and was wondering what pressures I could drop them to for doing our umbilical slurry. The tractor will also need to put the pipes out with 1000m on the back and 600 on the front as well as being on the dribble bar. Thanks...

    Tyre pressure gauges

Evening I have seen the reviews in the recent Profi magazine of the pressure gauges. They test everything except for the low pressure end (5-10psi). What are people using that work well. Either analog or digital, ideally with a decent size display.

    Fine-tuning the hedging

Into my fourth season with the flail now, and there are some questions I'd like to put forward. Trundling along the top, I get a steady rocking motion of tractor and cutter, a bit like baling, but sideways. I've tried lower revs, stopping and restarting, can't go any slower, can't keep up if I...

    Volkswagon emissions scandal
