We bought a mchale f560 3 years ago but the bale count was unknown as the clock said 10000 but there was obviously more. We have had the bottom roller on the chamber crack at the ribs just wondering what sort of lifespan others were getting out of them just as a guide
So i see quite a few combines are rolling now in the uk ? how’s it yielding so far ?
would be helpful to others to add some context - variety, location and areas etc maybe ?
Looking at the two above rakes. Currently running a kuhn GA6501 but the hydraulic width adjustment on the krone is tempting which isnt an option on the kuhn. Looking at these two rakes for the narrow transport width. The current kuhn isnt steering axle but don’t really have any trouble getting...
Hi,
Have an Enorossi DR420 but won’t rake clean to Left side or down the centre either. Left rotor tines raising too early on rotation before wheel and dropping too soon at back. Tried all 3 positions on cam and no good. Any ideas anyone?
Need to ‘lift’ a few field post harvest, looking at my current options in the machinery paddock I have a Sumo Trio, Carrier and a Heva 5 leg subsoiler. My guess is Heva would be best, but worried about the amount of disturbance. Would changing the legs and point help reduce? I’m thinking...
Looking at next tractor hires, have Massey 7722‘s at the moment JD very competitive just wondering on opinions of Wether the 215 price difference gives significant in field performance boost over the 195, either would be on command pro. Many thanks in advance.

Who else sells dispensers like above
I want one for fert that you can put the bag back on the floor and leave the dispenser in
Not to bothered about a pipe on it but would prefer one made of stainless or has anyone made one themselves that works well
I’m looking at buying a Fransgard TI 6000…….I think Weaving machinery do one very similar.
I d like to use it for rowing up hay. I’ve currently got a Kuhn 3.2m single rotor rake and to make a 6m row I’ve got to make 2 passes.
The Fransgard I believe can row up 6m in one pass which would save me...
I would like to grow winter beans on a small scale (20 acres)
but I need a drill, many years ago people used to use carrier ? drills, I think Are they still around for modest money?,
I know they can be spun on and ploughed in but dont really want to do it.
I have been involved with a lot of people out side of our industry over the last 12-18months, and I am amazed /horrified that most people out side our industry are really not aware we are regulated over our food production systems. Many have not heard of Red Tractor or other Assurance Schemes...
Hi new farming forum.
I have a mixed farm with about 300acres of arable. I’m looking to buying a second hand direct drill for a 150hp tractor. I seen the old blue and yellow Claydons for sale. Are these worth looking at. Or what other drills are there for 150hp can pull.
Whats the record for ordering kuhn kit and it not turning up? I'll start... ordered a baler 7 months ago for march delivery, still not here... can't be on my own here!
Hi there currently running a 8m Vaddy and a 6m ts evo for when wet.
With constant bg pressure late drilling looks likely to only become greater and although the vaderstad is awesome and will never leave, I’m thinking an 8m tineseeder would be a good step up?
What are my options?
The kv is good...
I'm in my fifth year of strip tilling following a more traditional plough/power harrow based system. I had some decent results in the first few years but the last two wet autumn /winters have not been so great.
My main problem is the blackgrass is getting out of hand, I don't think my...
I know there’s another general BG thread but this is just a particular question about chemicals.
Basically what are your ‘chemical’ approaches to BG. We aren’t doing a proper job so looking for ideas please.
Small farm here , been happy with our old PZ165 just one incident where we lost the saucer on a tree root , are all the new various copys , same design ie sealed gearbox bearings , removable cover (4 bolts ) or any to avoid for being cheaply made .thanks
