I think the a lot of the buyers there are a different kind of sheep breeder too us lot? Plenty of money and it’s a hobby?
tax dodge in a lot of cases i expect , does the industry no good , its all B/S , all these circuses is what i hate about pedigree breeding , I doubt there was much genuine trade over £3000 at the recent charollais prem , many of the winners and headliners had serious faults that would have seen them thrown out at Builth etc .I bet some of the online bidders were P55d when they collected the new purchase , Just wait for all the fairy stories in the next year book to hook a new cash input.

I didn't see you there, and the McCartneys ring camera certainly doesn't show anything very well. :scratchhead:

Suffolk Tup lamb in Lanark today £200000.
trying hard to catch the texels🙉

I nearly replied to this post earlier, suggesting it wouldn't be long before someone came on claiming it must have been made up, that there was £180k luck money, that it wasn't 'proper farming' that was paying for it, etc. 🤣

I'm just surprised that nobody has yet suggested that he'll likely be as fertile as all those high priced Texel lambs from last year.:censored:

had plenty of eyes on the ground,at least half a dozen , inc 3 society judges , all sang the same song about the same animals ,society going to need to be careful long term doling out favours and turning a blind eye to the clique

Have you any proof to back up your statements. Very cheap comments to make without having any evidence. I was at the sale and would say that for most of the headline prices both buyers and under bidders were genuine and easily identifiable at the ringside. Didn’t think many sold online at all.

Looked like the auctioneer knew it was to finish up at 200k. Going slowly at 32k then bids went up in5s then suddenly 10k bids. All done and dusted very quickly
