Nitram Nov delivered £292/t so 85p/kg N
Nuram N37 delivered August 2012 £312/m3 SG 1.29. I have lost the formula for p/kg. Can someone remind me please?

Just realised all my N has significant S in it as well which makes it look like expensive N

any ideas how you can separate N cost from S cost ??

You need a base price for one of the components. If AN is 85 p/kg N then treat your N in the complex as that to arrive at your price per kg for the other ingredient. I think.

I hated algebra at school - when was I ever going to need to work out the value of x, y & Z???? :X3:

I split the N and S out using the "least cost for decent product" basis - ie take decent AnS as a composite, and deduct the value of the N based on the price of a ton of Lithan.

I paid £288 for Lithan dld June pay end Jan. Although think cost of all fert vs value of crop taken off per ha/ac is more relevant.

I seem to have a problem ordering Urea, I keep saying to myself go with Urea, its cheaper (just remember to pout it on a touch earlier etc. Oh and you don't need to wash the spreader and tractor in a cold March wind), but when I pick up the phone, the words come out wrong!

Remembering volatilsation, striping in the first breath of wind & how little you get into the hopper?

About 80p/kgN but that includes free S, and lots of it. Doesn't include mixing charge, water etc etc but the free S will more than make up for that so about 80p

Did you buy any N in straight? If so I'd use that to work out the N value of the fertiliser and then you'll be left with the S.

Or just steal one of my figures depending on what your opportunity cost would have been.

no all N bought with S

I will steal your 40p/kg number for S leaving this years N cost at 82p/kg

Just crunching some numbers and it looks like home brew UAS is a very attractive proposition for next year !
