£200 fat lamb

Steady on. Curent trade does not mean these prices are here to stay, or that there has been any long term 'correction'.

Go cautious.

I agree and prices may well drop but they wont drop back to the low levels of the last few years.

In reality this year prices have only gone up £20 head because they should have went up £20 last year on the exchange rate but didn't.

Plenty of people talking of reducing numbers/ quitting lambing sheep after the long hard and expensive winter we are in so im not sure UK supply will be anywhere near last years levels, esp given just how bad a lambing and the losses of lambs that people in Wales/ the North/ Scotland are currently going thru due to the weather!

Yeah well i think you're suffering from blinded left wing ignorance:poop:

Lamb consumption was on a downward trend but at the moment demand is above supply hence higher prices.

You obviously don't have the capability of reading the previous post which state Nz lamb has found better paying markets than the Uk.
Trade or no trade deal the NZs aren't going to dump cheap lamb here if they've got better paying markets elsewhere.

It probably won't effect you only want to walk your labradoodles across maintained countryside and not expect to pay for anything.

The Scottish Farmer, 7th April 2018.
NZ lamb is still cheaper than UK lamb currently. That'll be why those deals on legs are all on NZ/Aus meat and not UK... and why QMS has lamb prices down on last week.

The scottish farmer 7th April reporting on prices which are now out of date.

I don't get your point!

The article states that the growth in NZ lamb sales was to other destinations i.e. China
The uk also saw growth in exports to Germany and Belgium.
It also states that reports from beef and lamb New Zealand suggest that nos of Newzealand lambs for export dried up in February!

Remember the Sheep should I ? thread on FWI in December 2012 where @Henarar chatted me up? the thread was talking about not being able to fatten lambs and you said yours disappeared when they turned sideways. @Henarar said you wanted to get that looked at :D:D
Sorry to most people, this post will make no sense whatsoever
I remember the thread, it was great entertainment. Yes, in dec 2012 my lambs were in a hell of a state, had to buy tons of cake to finish them.
your memory is better than mine1
