£200 wheat before Christmas?

I have a farming friend who has done quite a bit of commodity trading for the last 30 years as well as farming in his own right in a substantial way. His trading income has enabled him to buy land slowly. He is confident £200 wheat is on its way shortly citing the American bushel price as the reasoning. He watches this daily and has done for many years so he is holding back selling anything presently.

i presume he's buying futures like mad then?

No idea what's he is currently doing market trading wise but I know he has sold nothing from harvest 16 and still has 30% of his harvest 15 wheat sat in his sheds. This is a guy I've known for many years. He's a good farmer and all-round decent bloke. I saw him very briefly and it's what he told me.

It's his personal view on the current market that's all. We haven't sold anything yet either but not for the same reasons as him. In fact we were about ready to sell the whole lot in one transaction for November movement as we felt the market had no legs in it.

I have said £200 by 2018 for 2 years , but due to inflation, it may not "feel" like £200.

Tipping point comes when QE ramps up due to debt overload, OR debt forgiveness gives haircuts to bond holders or depositors reducing faith in fiat currency and reminding us of the Egyptian banking system

Everybody laughed at me when I predicted it last time.
No, something drastic will need to happen for feed wheat to hit £200 in the next three months.
Will sell some now when £140 is available june 2017, if and when.
