South African advert, converts to £42,000, and 155hp.
How much would a basic weatherproof cab and a strong loader add I wonder? And how many people would buy one?

Perhaps just the thing for autumn ground work in dry Essex?
Alternatively save even more beans get the unfortunate operator ear muffs, an insulated boiler suit and good gloves.

I know there's the argument that lots of people have, "if only there was an affordable, basic tractor", and on the other side there's the argument that even if there were one available, noone would buy one, because that sort would always want the saving of a second hand one anyway.
But in the past, haven't the 'Stockman's Special' editions sold like hot cakes? However dire they were!!

All good, until some jobsworth in the Shengen zone asks about engine emissions or type approval, then the wheels fall off the whole idea. As everyone knows, emissions produced outside of Europe don't harm the planet.

I was talking to someone at the Honda factory at Swindon many moons ago (buying japan spec engines direct), and she mentioned that Honda had accidentally sent an £85,000 Japanese spec NSX to the UK. As it wasn't type approved and with no mechanism to return it to Japan they were awaiting it being sent to the crusher.
My pleading to buy it for 'racing use only' fell on deaf ears ?

Such a shame! Evidently more cost effective to destroy it than send it back?
I’d love a late Manual NSX.

Knock 50hp and a lot of money off and I'd consider it. Have looked at one of those Massey's with no cab but they are still a lot of money when you add a loader.
I don't need fancy just something that works. More likely to buy a second older machine to share the workload with current old tractor though.

I was disappointed the new NSX didn't have the same philosophy. Lightweight and borrow engine tech off the Honda F1 program, a nice free revving V10 between the axles. Would have been ace. Lots of NSX in the US running modified breathing or superchargers. I would have one.
