Why has someone just paid me £950 for a 26m old Holstein steer? What are they going to do with it. Tall but not well fleshed.

Please don't ask why I had still had it. It only had meal while in a hutch for 73 days . Then nothing but grazing and silage since then.

Sedge today some Fri steers were over £1000 upto £1050 head..

What would feed cost be per day £2+

I thought there was no market for old B&W bulls?

Feed cost will depend on what you are feeding it, all that matters is that its putting on more money per day than its eating ( including all costs including haulage/ killing deductions/ bedding etc )

Standard deduction the same as cont/ native cattle ( 4/5pk ) for Fri steers over 30 months, weight is what pays with Fri steers, they may not look pretty but if they are heavy they will still come back to decent money.
