“We hold all the cards”

An interesting political analysis on euronews yesterday.
"The British people are now slowly beginning to realise that the 30 years of lies they have been told about the EU were just that, lies. They are seeing the reality of being outside the EU and they don't like it."
That's interesting, funny how things are reported in Europe, I'm pretty sure that if the vote was repeated now the margin would be even bigger.
I expected we would have a few years of transition before we knew how successful Brexit was but 6 months later and it all seems to be going well already. That could change of course but it could just as easily go wrong for the EU.

Most people I know who voted remain now say they would have voted leave. Ignore fake news from the EU, they are getting desperate now.

But small individual economies with their own independent currency, doesn’t necessarily always make sense either. Take the pandemic for example. Imagine the capacity of small countries like Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, etc, etc, to borrow efficiently to meet the cost! It would be almost impossible. The Euro bond Program has been a lifesaver for such countries.
Did Ireland have a referendum to give up their currency or was it decided for them ? I noticed you have twice avoided answering this question the latest only yesterday.

I’m not arguing or contradicting but what makes you think that ? I’m just not getting the same feeling.
The attitude and ineptitude of the EU, the vaccines, trade figures have been affected less than predicted, can't call anything a feel good factor at the moment but all the doom and gloom have disappeared. Even the French are saying Boris is preferable to Macron

Boris is the most distrusted leader in Europe. The man can’t be trusted to keep his word from breakfast to supper. Not even his own crowd trust him. Joker in the pack…

I don't disagree but there was apparently a poll in France that said they preferred Boris to Macron

You got the trade figures? that's what I quoted rather than the recovery, I seem to remember being surprised at how little they had fallen even early on compared to predictions.
I would expect us to be recovering badly on that chart as we were doing well before and were badly affected with Covid so had lengthy lockdowns.
You think France just carried on ? We're still under curfew.
