I freely admit I do not use Facebook or Twitter, as not that way inclined. That said I would like to know the purpose of the “What’s App”app.
Thankyou.

Not really the same as Facebook or twitter is it, it’s just a messaging service, and a good one at that, I like the tick feature, I’m not a massive fan of replying “ok” to every message from the wife so the tick means she can see I’ve read it, job done :) I know, she tells me I’m a miserable bugger!!

As said it's another way of sharing photos or sending messages

If you both have the WhatsApp app loaded it will send on WhatsApp using your email address or mobile 'phone number

I use it a LOT at work

If folks want a particular spare part or to describe something, they can message instantly and the photo gets stored in my main photo library as well as per "chat" in messages

Videos seem to send much quicker with WhatsApp too

Yes it's very good I use it more than texts now. And the groups are good we have a local rural crime group and I'm in a group for weaving gd users which is useful

Use whatsapp a bit, handy for sending pics. and calling ozz. for free.
Heard not long ago it's owned by Facebook along with Instagram(whatever that is) so your personal details will be out there

I use it a lot. In a few group chats, my agronomist uses it so that if he sees a particular problem all his customers can get an instant message or photo from the field.

It's a good system, I'd be as luddite as a luddite thing, but for sending pictures and knowing whether the message has been read it is good, never did like texting, and there is even less reason to do so now.
