……if I wasn’t a farmer, what would I be?

Looked out first thing this morning, not too bad I thought, but by the time I’d had a cup of tea a steady drizzle had set in, puddles everywhere. The soil temp is still only just 5°, and not even the lawns are growing. No field work today.

I love farming, but I've got a good son home from college so perhaps there is something else I could do.

What I’d want is a job where hard work paid, not as its own reward but in good hard cash – the harder I worked the more I would make. I’d want to be my own boss working all the hours I wanted to and none of the ones I didn't. And most of all I would want a job where the weather had no effect on my income.

Well I thought about it and realised that the only two avenues open to me were prostitution and pugilism, but looking in the mirror I fear my best street walking or street fighting days are behind me. Shall I have to stay farming or is there something else I could do?

A ski instructor in the French alps, with a side line in pleasuring chalet girls, then in the summer retire to the cote dazure with the richest one with a nice apartment some whe like Monaco.
Sounds reasonable to me, no doubt it would become boring after a decade or two.

Dream dream dream :)

Little brother is doing this, with a sideline in computer software installation and maintenance.

That requires Hardware.

Maybe if you are clever, you can compensate for Hardware failings, and still keep them interested.

Nowt like a bit of sibling jealousy ;)
I have tried this skiing malarkey and discovered I have the perfectly designed body, for apres ski.

Statistically I was informed by a friend who was a Ski Instructor, 70% of men are legless and pass out.

Apres Ski is one of the perks of the job for Ski Instructors.
