No corrosion with any that I've dealt with but plenty of other problems..

There is a crankcase filter to change near the air filter housing, if its been neglected it causes back pressure and the intercooler and associated turbo pipework can fill with oil, various sensors and such then get covered with gunk and upsets the running.

Injectors fail, and occasionally the tip will be stuck fast in the head requiring a puller to remove them and in my experience they snap off.

The abs has its moments..
Dual mass cluch can fail, leaving you stranded.

Rear tailgate window has its moments

Other than that they're quite good
