how do you do that ?Easiest way to increase starting torque, check all connections for voltage drop (dirty) then,
If 12Volt, start it on 24Volt, then reduce to 12Volt when running ..............

Think this should work .........
Boost switch could be just a push button beside the on/off switch
interesting but the problem is more the sawdust packing down and putting to much load on the agitator to set off a higher torque motor but as i have no idea on the spec is currently and when i had a look online thy all just say high torque nothing specific

Could try cutting a couple of slices out of the disc, so there is less friction.
or a shorter/ thinner agitator
