10 Rotors vs 12 Rotors

Is there any difference in the tilling ability of a 3m power harrow with 10 rotors, and the power harrows with 12?

Supposedly better work quality. Never tried side by side to compare. You would think on a 10 rotor machine all the gears would be larger and less crammed into the trough so tougher but again, I've never had a 12 rotor opened to look.

Reckon 12 will till better at any given speed but have heard that 10 rotors are far less bother in stoney ground.

Got both hard to tell much difference in work quality, maybe 12 smaller rotors are easier to drive but 10 are definitely better on stones with a Kuhn better than an amazone on stones as well (more room below the bed) in my opinion

If I had heavy ground and no stones I'd go 12 but definitely 10 in lighter stoney stuff

Have a kuhn here and a couple of years ago had a lemken work along side with me for a couple of fields. I couldn't see any difference between them.

6 months before Dowdeswell failed, I was persuaded to buy one if theirs instead of a Kuhn, because it had the extra rotors and would be better...
I have now got a Kuhn as well, under a combi drill, and have never noticed the difference.
