I took my son to a McDonald’s on Friday evening in Bury st Edmunds for a “treat”

I think it’s safe to say most of the foreign workers are now working for just eat, deliveroo etc

There must have been up to 10 different guys going in there picking up deliveries! All driving up and swinging round in a pedestrianised area.

Ive never seen anything like it, things have changed so much in the past 18 months.

Maybe McDonald’s should start offering pork products, it was incredibly busy in there. The drive through at Mildenhall was queued to the main road on the way to BSE and still like that on my return home.

I wonder what % of the nation they feed everyday?
It’s the same up here
Drives me mad when I pop t McD for a bacon roll or coffee
A third of the car park is taken up with little old cars which are almost exclusively driven by young men waiting for a Deliveroo etc job , they swing round the car park, stand in huddles/gangs in the car
park
it’s actually turned into a bit of a sinister place in my opinion

When did that stupid app start the nonsense.
But has it not been building from before? From the start of covid. Was there not a shortage of CO2 then? Seems to me like a perfect storm. Covid, lack of labour, high feed prices and a race to be the biggest producer. I don’t understand why producers didn’t reduce sow numbers / serving numbers a few months back?

They certainly look very shifty types and not well educated. Similar looking to the ones that do the hand car washes. So were they here before Brexit (doing jobs in factories ect) or have they come in recently?

It’s also been successive Governments wishing to shut mixed local Slaughter houses by making life almost impossible for them to operate. Where most large towns (once villages) had facilities it’s now counties or even just a few National. These super factories are not ‘interesting’ places to work. Denmark automated its pig slaughter industry years ago. High value jobs maintaining to machinery. In the UK there has been too much centralisation and not enough investment due share holder demand.
Co2 is another matte.Government energy policy and reliance on Russian gas run by thugs. Madness.

Pig job had always been volatile boom or bust farming.

Regards the labour shortage and big business wanting cheap labour, an old neighbour had the answer this morning " we need the slave trade to start up again" 🤦‍♂️🤣

we need to stop making it not worth it working ? and stay on benifits ? to many and i speak of what i know round were i live, many many of workable age etc, dont work because it pays to be on benifits thats a fact that will very soon have to be sorted out ?
It’ll have to happen ‘cos at the moment the UK wouldn’t even meet the Copenhagen Criteria fo joining the EU🤦🏻‍♂️
