100,000 pigs to be destroyed

Although the originator can't even pluralize "number" correctly, so maybe all the clues are already there.
It's the possessive, if you look at the website.

Apologies I was probably too cryptic, to spell it out:

ALL THE MUPPETS ON THIS THREAD MOANING ABOUT THE SUPERMARKETS TRADING PRACTICES, WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU DOING IN THERE GIVING THEM YOUR MONEY ?
Where do you go when you need a loaf of bread,a couple of packets of biscuits and some milk at 7pm. Don’t suggest the corner shop it’s a one stop that’s owned by Tesco and if it was independent it would probably buy from Booker guess what owned by Tesco! Convenient yes. Market share route of all evil. Anybody in to beef and lamb. Support your live markets till the end, remember f&m and 2001. If the abattoir had played fair that year they could have finished every market in the country but they could not help themselves.

I see what your saying, but I don't except your point. It pacifically says "Author: Halal by Plant Number's". I they'refore maintain that the author has tried, but failed, to pluralize "number".

Which is all irrelevant, because the website is clearly tosh.

I missed them all the first time I read it through - just goes to show how the brain works (or not).
Well, if you need any detail checking or verification work done, I may be able to help you out in the near future. All SQEPped up, plenty of experience, keen eye for detail. Just a bit too busy farming pigs at the moment. Might not be if the industry doesn't turn round soon.

It really only takes about 2 seconds unless the sow shakes her head at the crucial moment ond the transponder flies off into the never never.
Rather you than me. I'm sure it's quick enough indoors but outdoors you wouldn't dream of doing it when tags are so cheap.

Zoe Davies was real good on the radio 4 farming programme this morning, very angry.

George lived up to his name I am afraid.
Did you see her on Countryfile? She was good there too

Sadly the NPA can only report on welfare on farm culls as reported in to them. They've repeated the 16,000 today - I now seriously think it's 4 x that; mainly piglets at birth .

Truly awful and so unnecessary

isn't it time they called for a ban on imports from countries with ASF?

Done our bit to help clear the backlog today. Mrs YB fetched a pig for the freezer from a local producer.
This one must have been well out of spec ...

....the chops are helluva size 😊😋
...no wonder Tesco et al can't get 'em in their stingy little packaging.
Meat looks perfect can't wait to try some 👍

Looks cracking!

The animals really do pile on the size when they hang around too long. Everyone scoffs a bit that the determinant of slaughter weight is the supermarket pack size. But the supermarket pack size is determined by what makes a good sized portion, so it makes sense really.
One of those would see me through two meals, but I would expect you to do your duty and have two each, and the same again tomorrow. :ROFLMAO:

No retailers want massive chops as they add up to too much money at POS. Can't really share a chop, can you?
