Article in todays Yorkshire Post claiming Morrisons to help British farmers by offering cuts of pork at reduced prices.

Does not say who is paying for this, are they going to screw the already poor prices down lower, or suffer the loss themselves? Or am I too cynical?

I don't think they need to screw the price down lower... I shouldn't have thought they're lose anything significant as it is.

If they wanted to genuinely help, they could try and actually increase the quantity demanded at the current price, rather than just devaluing the product. Maybe get their sausage machines cranked up to 11 and bang a load of bangers in the lunch boxes of those in receipt of free school meals, for example.

But you know, business is business. Can't say I blame them.

Yeh, probably. There's only so much meat that people can eat. Maybe there's just too many animals about? As I say, business is business...

Don't get me wrong, its pretty shite, but it is what it is. Nowt I can do about it other than back myself to make the job pay over the remaining 30yrs of my career. Or back myself to pack it in and make a better job of something else. 🤷‍♂️

I was just highlighting the fact that supermarkets gloss the truth over with bull sh!t at every opportunity , I guess that’s marketing .
