Your all wrong so far🤣. Does make me laugh how judgmental this place it not that I’m sticking up for him one bit but does it matter if it’s his or his daddy’s or his mummy’s
Was he your Choirboy friend helping out someone in need?...

Either way, he can't be too bright whether Choirboy Owner Farmer Contractor or Nesbit dream living kind of chap

So not a farmer, a farmers son or an employee?
Doesn't make much difference who he is, he's still a pr**k that shouldn't be on the road. You don't take something like that on the road by accident.

I don’t know the lad, but I do feel for him, although he may not deserve it. I’ve been there and done similar and maybe worse when I first started out. Not from a farm so all my tackle was bought cheap and rough or on finance, a lot of farmers promising payment and not delivering for months and some not ever, it really can screw your cash flow up, then a kid on the way. If I hadn’t cut a few corners I would have had to go bankrupt and loose the lot. Glad I got out when I did though. It’s shot starting out on your own without a support network

I think a lot if not all have cut corners from time to time. Not long ago a video was posted on here from a JD promotion where the tractor and trailer probably grossed over 50 tonnes going down a UK road and many thought it OK.
on my travels on Monday I followed a Gastric Fastrac and trailer at approx 45MPH, the trailer was a max of 10 tonnes fully loaded but it was at least 40 years old and certainly no air braking, Into is a regular sight around here. Then I arrived at a farm where they were using a brand new 20 tonne trailer , I asked how much it was carrying, 22 tonnes was the proud reply. A fair load behind 300 hp, air braking and axles made probably over spec, but legal no.
I do feel a slight sympathy with the guy who was caught, if he was driving carefully, if he was a genuine new entrant trying to make his way, when he sees what long established farmers are getting away with. We see far too many driving with the universal ear attachment or worse still texting, with twin beacons and driving through villages at harvest with grain spilling over the sides at excessive speed.

edited when I saw what auto correct had put :ROFLMAO:

Yes but, 33 tonne in a 7.5 tonne limit is taking the p**s.
