I priced two trailers today Ifor Williams £5125 and Nugent £6300. Similar spec. There’s a greater difference than I was expecting.

We're expecting our new Nugent 12ft any day now, no part/X price was £5900, not from West Wales but craven arms.
I'm surprised Ifor's are only that price, priced one a couple of years ago at £5000, also priced a Gamic at the time, £3000 more

£5350 I paid for my nugent in 2017 with decks and dividers.

When I was pricing up trailers a year ago, a similar spec trailer was a similar price from all the manufacturers. It was very much a case of ordering the design you preferred rather than dwelling on the cost difference.
I'm shocked at the difference in quote between IW and Nugent. I'd probably still go for the Nugent though but worth getting a price from Graham Edwards.
Might be worth giving Falcon trailers a call or other Irish firms if you are close to Fishguard.

I think it sounds like some Nugent dealers may have upped the price as they are selling well, I was quoted £6400 by one

Porter are very good strong trailer, the problem I found with them (unless they have changed them recently) is that their sheep decks ramp is very steep, I ended up having to push sheep up the ramp. I swapped it for a Hudson and sheep go up it no problem
