155r still rubbish on fuel

Yes Deere engines use thousands of pounds worth of diesel in comparison to near all other brands in their lifetimes.

No, a 6155r should not be using so much fuel on light load work.

I'd contact Deere direct. The dealer will have no fuel metering equipment, and the best they can do or determine if the engine is outputting 300hp on a dyno to account for its thirst.

It's also difficult to understand why it's used 250l of adblue when Deere promote that much of their engine emissions control is solved with egr and a dpf. Adblue use should be significantly less than competitors.

It needs fixed, or replaced by Deere.

The alternative is another brand, not another Deere if they won't fix it.

Yes it on adblue. Used around 250 ltrs so far.

Just read this. Your tractor is faulty. Ours is using literally half that. There is a (fairly major) fault with your tractor somewhere along the line. Somebody needs a roasting.

It's probably something fairly menial like a faulty ambient air temperature sensor causing it.

Just filling up our 155 it has the smaller tank 270l from memory it put 220l of diesel through to drill 20 acres of mixed land on the flat I'm not sure how long he was drilling for as I never saw him start the field. Our 6930 has a 325l tank and will comfortably drill for 13-14 hrs or 35-40 acres depending on the ground and still have some left to get back to the tank.

As for add blu usage it's done roughly 900hrs since we got it as an ex demo and had somewhere between 200-250l of add blu through it the picture of the add blu tank it had 500l when it came now somewhere under 300. The add blu gauge in the tractor read 100% when it started the field yesterday.

The tractor is chipped and it was a lot worse on fuel beforehand and has experimental software in the gearbox to make it pull better both of which help a lot or we'd be for getting rid of it .

Do you have actual figures litres per hour etc. No offence but saying its heavy on fuel doesn't mean much. I believe the fuel tank is also around 45 litres smaller on the new R compared to the old one.

Lots to reply to when I get a chance. Bit miffed as I've had to go and buy a portable tank for my pickup. Can't get 3 full days hedging and although the adblue not breaking the bank I have to fill the adblue while hedging before I need fuel....

Not too bad then it would be the same as us. The valtras t151 155hp were about 9.5Lh the Kubotas 175hp are about 10.5 but these have kvt box and front pto and are a newer type of engine with the emission crap on them. PA 6500t 1.5m head. Not to bad really! Adblue use is non existant it holds 20L fill about every 6-7 tanks of fuel. Filling when at 25% as it beeps all the time

You use a whole tank of ad blue to less than a tank of diesel? There's something wrong. It should be doing 2.5- 3 tanks of diesel to 1 of ad blue, that's what ours does.

I'm no expert or engineer but it sounds to me like it's burning a shed load of diesel then using a shed load of ad blue trying to clean it all up.

Your dealer needs a rocket up their arse. The only thing you can be sure of is Mannheim and Langar WILL be reading this thread. I'd imagine you'll see some action taken.

Jd 6130r 280 hrs av 11l/ hr on unidrill and fusion mainly, used 70l of ad blue. TBH not much more than the fendt it replaced. Did intend on remapping it but seems fine without so far so won't bother.

Don't go by the screen. Mine was averaging about 8 an hr on screen but on fill up around 12.
On the big baler i did my sums and was using about 50-60ltrs a day more than my 6930 was averaging per bale per day basis throughout the season.
I do some tractor and driver work helping a few farms and I'm using an embarrassing amount more fuel on a trailer than any other tractor. One farm in fact I'm not far off double of a 6910. Yes I know it's 2 different ages of tractor but I'm not doing more loads in a day.

Adblue consumption doesn't seem too bad to me. Assume the tractor has used an average of 15l/hr diesel over its life then 250l adblue equates to 2.7% of fuel burned. I would expect most stage 4 competitors to use considerably more than this...

I also thought that deeres would be pretty low add blue consumers. Our jcb loadall with 145hp engine is just over a year old, I think it's done 1400 hours and hasn't used a full 200 litre drum yet. Seems to drink fuel at a hell of a rate though!
