Where costs are at now I don't think any job that involves turning the key of a 120hp+ tractor is worth doing for less than £50/hour. Be better off going to the pub than run that outfit for £30/hour
He'll be £15hr or more in (red)diesel and tyre wear alone. Take £15hr for himself as a wage you're already at £30.

Depreciation/maintenence will be £10-15hr so that £45 without even talking about profit.

Couple of small repairs on the tractor or a full service and you are over a grand instantly. Only time £30hr works is if you helping a mate out then they help you out another time.

£50hr sounds a lot when your paying someone that for days but with the costs involved nowadays it kind of has to be

Electrician we uses charges £350 per day on site at 9ish gone by 4.30 plus materials and he’s got work coming out of ears same goes for the plasterers
So £ 35 / 38 £ hr it’s so cheap comparing all the expense of running a tractor and trailer .
Difference is any idiot can drive a tractor and trailer.
An electrician needs qualifications and skills.

A good question would be what is the direct operating cost of a 160HP tractor and dump trailer? , factor everything in , if figures aren't your thing ask your accountant for help otherwise you could end up wasting twelve months of your life working for SFA.

Hi Guys,
I wondered if anyone had any realistic prices for the above with good operator and diesel included? Based in South Wales as I know location has variables etc, I know there’s always someone who will do it for next to nothing, but I want to make sure that it’s a fair price and worth it
TIA
We would charge £50/hr for the tractor and driver + £10hr for the trailer.

That makes sense , surprising / worrying that no one who does this for a living seems to know the true operating costs , I guess a few wing it and hope for the best when they have the annual meeting with the accountant.

A lot of tractor work is skilled now I agree.
But driving an old tractor and dump trailer is not well up that list.
