1970s 6 cylinder

What were your options in the 1970s if you wanted to buy a new 6 cylinder tractor? Not a homemade conversion but one which came out from the factory. John Deere had the 3130. What had other makes available if you wanted more power for the double chop.

The Leyland 100 was a beast, but they rubber mounted the engine to a fixed transmission, so drives were an issue.

Fiat 850/ 1000 ,1300 were 1970s.

Think the Ford TWs came in '79.The 8600 was from '72. The 8100 from '76. Muir Hill,County and Roadless were around from the 60s.

MF 2600 series came in '79.
Dutra fizzled out in the mid '70s.
I'm guessing Schluter ran on til the 80s.They'd be scarce as would 70's Renault 6 cylinders......

The Ford 8100 came out in 1978 the fiat 980 in 1979 or early 1980 sorry to be facetious but it's raining and i have a stack of Power Farming magazines.
