1st April,2019, markets.

I heard a story today, not the first time lve heard it, that the government will order livestock markets to close for weeks after this date if there is a no deal, as there will be no were for stock to go. Is this just a fairy story? Surly this cannot happen.

I heard the other day their preparing slaughterhouses in the south east to take all of the livestock that will be stuck in Dover?

I’m more optimistic and I’m hoping it will all sort itself..

I heard that it takes 2 years for any trade deals to be done anyway so whichever way it goes nothing will change.

A crash no deal will mean we have no deal, and hence no agreement to trade/ ship etc. Not until a new trade deal can be agreed and implemented.

“It takes two years”, apparently. That’s a pretty decent lairage.

However slim we think the chances are of it happening, do not discount quite how disruptive a no deal Brexit would be.

So they are going to stay in cold storage for 2 years?

Everybody has a story, just market talk, but sometimes those stories are true, years ago l guy told me a story that we wouldn't get any Sfp payed before Febuary because of the computer system, guess what he was Wright, so not always fairy story's.

and the E U countries that take our lambs now will take 2 years to get deals with other countries(who might not even have any lambs) cos they suddenly wont want ours so they will starve....the end!

What an utter balls up

It's a far right embarrassment.

May, Cameron, Johnson and Farage all need lined up and shot for making this mess.
Over 2 years wasted, and over £50bn...

Do those hard line Brexit voters on here still believe 'they need us more than we need them!' and they EU would just give us the world of we wanted it. F**king fruit loops

So then no one will be allowed to eat anything for several months???:rolleyes::rolleyes:

If there is a no deal brexit then if our lambs etc cant go out then neither will the lorry loads of EU pork/ chicken/ Irish beef etc etc be able to come into the UK so that will have to be replaced with UK produce.

And as for live exports, very few UK animals are now exported live anyway and most of them are breeding animals so all this talk about the Government culling thousands of animals in the event of a no deal brexit is complete hogwash..

Some people believe any old rubbish reported in the media.

Keep calm and carry on as you would normally do.

The problem has been caused by remainers like yourself and May who have been intent on screwing up the talks since the day we voted out.
