Hi, yes, I took it your original post contained an element of irony, thus my reply. But my apologies to our Scottish friend as he took my post at face value, though I have noted he is one of the more determined posters on here. My flippancy and facetiousness is probably not appropriate for this serious section of the forum. I ought to go elsewhere.

Anyway to more serious matters. Your team has sold Maguire - a top quality central defender with world class potential to Man U. Meanwhile Arsenal with a requirement for a decent defence have bought David Luiz? An attacking midfielder with a serious need for a haircut masquerading for years as a supposed central defender. Now Mustafi or Luiz in central defence for Arsenal? Hey ho we shall see.

What about Muzzy Izzet?

My thoughts about leaving the EU has always been that the amount of chaos will be inversely related to the time to get things sorted.
After 3 years of mild chaos with fudgeall happening, a couple weeks of bedlam will be well worth it as solutions for most issues will soon get sorted and then we can really plan for the future.
Quite right. The plans for no-deal have been made on both sides, there are good minds taking pragmatic decisions. There will be some problems, but no dramas - plenty of drama-queens though.

Ah, now I’ve twigged what you are driving at.

Well, my memory is clearly worse than I thought :-(. So, remind me, when was it the French voted to control/reduce the brits coming into France?

You said eastern europeans weren't welcome in the UK , which isn't true , well apart from Romanians

Now you are loosing your memory. It was over 3 years ago, it’s true. I was said time and time again - bloody Eastern European’s coming here, stealing our jobs, reducing our pay, clogging up our roads, schools hospitals, nothing against them but there’s just too many of them here...
Do you remember now? THEY do

Folk ont’elly, on the street on here (actually I have a friend on here from Boston way whose name I am certainly not going to say but was very outspoken as one of many examples)
The day after it was awful, poor foreigners going about their business as they had for years before being told “why are you still here, we voted, you should of left”
And yes my wife’s friends experienced it. I’m not going to write their names and you won’t know them anyway as by and large they are were in the south east.

No idea .

Memory?

Mine is bad since an accident I had in 2005 (I think) I was knocked out and had no memory at all for a couple of days apparently, two days of my life I have no recollection of at all, hence I can’t understand the accident and memory has been poor ever since :(
Better than being dead I guess which seemed a more likely outcome.

Do we have to set a date ? Can't we just leave without telling anyone ? That way, there'll be no port checks bollox, no backstop bollox, no stock pilling before the deadline bollox, and no more project fear bollox.

I was quite into computers in the years before the millennium, and the entire reason nothing happened is most companies with any sense had a team of programmers going through their legacy code and correcting anything which was going to cause problems. It cost a lot of money, but they knew what was going to happen and fixed it in time so that planes didn't literally fall out of the sky. Lots of programmers got quite rich out of the thing too.

The problem with Brexit is that still to this day no-one knows what Brexit is. It is absurd that something like this hasn't been worked out, and yet a date has been set for it regardless.
It will be fixed otherwise it will hurt everyone, make no mistake. The bangheads in Brussels will realise that, if their precious club is to survive, they will have to become more accommodating and cooperative.
