1st time with peas

As the title suggests, trying peas for animal protein.
Does planting at 6 or 12 inch rows make any difference?

We grow them on 10in rows. Weed control would be better on narrower rows, yield probably as well.

Probably not much difference if they grow 2ft tall; if droughty and they only make 9", more so.

Go with narrow row spacing. This helps suppress weeds and lets the tendrils bind with each other better to hold the crop up.
They absolutely hate any compaction at drilling time, so make sure conditions are good.
