For sale 1 water buffalo cow, in calf, due june-july :) 1 buffalo bull calf 6 months old, but will need pushing a bit on cake. The bull calf has good genetics and his father is out of our best milking cow and a very good Italian milking bull. The bull calves mother has good milk yield, fast let down, very fertile, easy Calver, good feet and is hardy :) her genetics are from the Aldes herd in italy, her father's side. The in calf cow has decent genetics, very fertile, hardy, always keeps her weight, excellent mother, easy Calver, good feet and is easy to handle. Would make a good milker or a very good suckler :) They have both been TB tested 2 weeks ago. For more details/pics/prices, or to arrange a viewing... Then please PM/comment below and I will get back to you.
Cheers

I'd love to see a thread more generally about the water buffalo as I know nothing about them and didnt even realise anyone kept them in this country.

I was originally going to do that, but decided against it tbh, too little time in the day. However anyone is welcome to PM me and I will talk to them about the water buffalo :) yeah quite a few breeders of them now. My parents and I have set up little herds of them in Wales and England, shortly in Scotland too, which am quite chuffed about. I think as more people are becoming aware of them their popularity will grow.

If you get a chance though it could be good promotion for your business and the industry and help sales, as sometimes when you search in a normal search engine TFF threads come up. I keep stock on a water buffalo farm and still wish I knew more though have learnt a lot. It's fascinating learning from other farmers and learning why they do things etc. Look forward to seeing your blog ;)(y)

I very well might when I have a little more time :)
In the meanwhile I've just PM'd you my FB. I do regular buffalo updates on there, if you would like to friend me :) I noticed on your profile it says that you are from Hampshire? Would you be associated with Laverstoke park then?
All the best
