A ridge of high pressure building from the west. Any ,rain over southern England will ,clear to ,sunny spells. eastern Britain will see strong northerly wind easing through the day, cooler High 23C/72F


Thursday 13th

A fairly cloudy ,day with outbreaks of rain for the north & west, locally persistent western Scotland. A few showers breaking out elsewhere, . The south & south-east will stay mostly dry.Highs 16 to 23C/72F.

Heads Up for next week a prolonged heatwave coming could last at least two weeks! More later.

Imagine my surprise when, having gone to bed at midnight with a smile with the BBC 10-day weather and the Pitchcare 5-day, I was woken by the sound of rain which has made me physically sick. So, now 2:30am and guess what - the Pitchcare weather has it raining right now (not there 3 hours ago) and the BBC has this AND heavy rain for 6 hours on Saturday morning. Hot and dry better come soon as I now require medicine to get through the night *and* day.

Now have 1.5mm forecast for Saturday morning, then chance of tunder on Tuesday. Sorry, two days of cloudy warm and light wind followed by it pouring is not in any way good for us.

Yes, Thomasz Schafernaker says unsettled weekend followed by thunder and humid next week. So, in short, that could be forking terrible for us farmers.
