Good morning.
I am a British national working on behalf of a new agriculture business (with significant backing) based in sunny Sri Lanka.
The company is looking to employ 2 professional agronomists with the appropriate qualifications/experience to join 'Tulip Agro'.
They are should be able to move to Sri Lanka to teach our Sri Lankan staff to cultivate high quality and quantity vegetables (salad leaves, salad cucumber, broccoli, beef tomatoes, cauliflower, iceberg lettuce, bell peppers, Chinese cabbage, etc.) at our hydroponic plantations at Diyaluma Waterfalls and Nuwara Eliya.
Specifically, these posts require the ability to teach our people how to grow the vegetables from seeds; how to increase quality and quantity of the produce; how to protect plants from pests; how to grow new types of vegetables in order to increase the current product range (strawberries, for example); and the ability to speak English, of course!
The company will pay a starting salary of $3000 per month after tax (rising to $3500 after 6 months), and flights/accommodation/utility bills/transport costs are covered by the company.
Put simply, for a UK national, it might be a great opportunity to save some money and enjoy a beautiful climate in a beautiful country.
The job is initially for six months but it is expected to be extended once results are visible.
If you're interested or have any questions, please email me.
Thanks,
Andrew Beswick
