If I were to put 200kgs/ha of urea down the spout for spring barley, being all of its N requirement will it burn the seed?
My view is use less total N but place it better for spring malting barley on strong land.
I currently put about 30kgs liquid N down the spout but I am looking at converting it to granular so I have two big seed hoppers when not using fert in the autumn.

Giving it a go one a 36m tramline however this is with Omex liquid N. Easy to do trials like this with12m ctf

72 units acre in a compound is what i will be using down the spout never had any problems with germination . Urea could be different , the Canadians sideband urea if using large amounts i think .
Fert down the spout is no theory, its a proven fact see Teagasc research..

I know it works. I just want to see just how much we can cut back by better placement and use efficiency. I don’t no what a unit an acre is, sorry!
