hmm dunno as ever statistics mean nothing,whether a partner or ex partner dont really mean much.the facts are acts of random violence are very rare you are more likely to be murdered by a partner,relative or friend than some stranger and according to this link it is 7 women and 2 men

Bit of a tangent, I've been reading a book by a trauma doctor and he reckons the most dangerous sport is golf. Far more dangerous than skydiving, climbing etc.. The reason is that so many retirees have their heart attack out on the course.
