I understand we should soon be able to log on to the RPA website and start to build our claims for this year. Thus far I can log on but only see my business name and SBI number but I can't 'do' anything yet. Has anyone else tried this yet?

Went to a BPS meeting and you should get on in the middle of march. You should get an e-mail. Anyone who did an on-line application in 2014 will be able to log in. However if you did a paper application in 2014 you will get paper application forms. You can opt out of on-line if you wish.
The on line looks complicated as they have combined parts C and D into one form. There are no farmers own reference for each field. Areas are to four decimal places, but you only need to enter the first two, so all areas should end in 00.

And I thought we could get on line from the first week in March - it is obvious that the RPA work on a different calendar system to ours....

So if you did a paper application last year a paper form will come again this year?

I went to an NFU run meeting yesterday with RPA staff presenting.
By the looks of it the new online sytem 'should' be more straightforward than the debarcle of last year and allegedly it's been tested to within an inch of its life!

Everyone should get an email to tell them that their data is uploaded in mid march.
it will calculate your greening for you when you input the data.
You can submit it as many times as you like until the 16th May , the last one you submit will be the one they use for your claim

There will be no claim tracking feature this year as we had with SPS

I reckon you will get a paper claim through. If you have not got anything by mid March then get onto RPA fairly sharpish.

They wont be able to give farmers that have yet to have their mapping changes updated ( and hence get paid for 2015 ) by Mid March as they wont have done these changes by then, currently its looking like the end of April/ early May at least before some farmers will get proper maps with the 2015 changes on them!
