We have launched the new and hopefully improved TFF Yield Survey for 2016! You can start entering your data here:

Starting Entering your 2016 Harvest Data

This is following on from our successful survey in 2015, which provided our members with some great data to compare with their own Yields. We received nearly 50,000 hecares for Wheats, OSR, Barley and Oats.

We have sent out the full set of results in an excel spreadsheet to all members who entered data in 2015. If you haven't received this, it may be because you have opted out or receiving emails from TFF or it got caught up in your spam filter. Either way, drop me a PM and I'll email it to you directly.

However this year, we have dropped the spreadsheet format and are hosting the information in a live personal dashboard that you can access (using the email address you use when you enter data on the system) and see how your yields compare to averages from other farmers around the country. So you won't need to wait for results to be published on the Forum and can access the information as and when you want. You will however, need to wait for everyone to enter their data. As per last year, the majority of the data came in before Xmas, but a lot was entered in December. So you will need to keep checking back.

There is also a pick list, for crop name, which should help with the spelling issues we had last year. We have also asked for tonnage produced rather than the actual yield figure. This is so we can calculate the Yield for you, but also because we actually require the tonnage produced and area cut to calculate the averages correctly.

So a few changes to make data entry easier, as before, you don't need to enter all your data at once and can complete the survey as many times as necessary. Hopefully you will all see it as a great improvement and it will help your farming decisions.

Add your 2016 Yield Data Here

If you have any questions then please do ask them on the forum and we will do our best to help. Also please add your suggestions on how we keep improving the survey and make it more useful for you.

Please do encourage all your friends to take part in the TFF Yield Survey, as the more real farmer data we get from our members, the better the results will be for each farmer.
