After last years massive cock up and not getting paid until well into the new year....like the year before and the year before that.....oh and the fact we have outstanding payments due for 2015 and 2016......I just thought I would check the 2017 status and was shocked to see preparing for payment against it!

Am I dreaming?? Is the date actually 1st April? Have the RPA got their act together??

Still on validation checks here. They only rang up with a query on a RLE1 form I submitted in March last week! They've alos remapped half the farm which will totally mess up the 2017 claim  Every single adjustment was either unecessary or wrong. I'll have to submit a fresh set of RLE1s when they've finished as they've deleted every modification I've made for PIFs etc for the last 4 years.

Don't get excited.
Mine has said "preparing for payment" for 3 weeks and so far nothing at all.

Still on claim validation here as expected, since I’m still waiting on service review to find out if they’ll pay me what THEY said I could claim for dating back to 2015.

So to some up, 2015/16 and 17 claims still outstanding !. And 1 of my 2 remaining fields still isn’t mapped right, I had 3 fields but lost 1 due to this bps fiasco.

Just to warn you, a "Service Review" will have NO impact on your claim whatsoever... that's an internal thing for them... have you been offered an independent appeal?

I am still waiting for part of my 2016 payment and looks like I am going to have to go to independent appeal, there is a staged fee (dependant on the value of the claim) which you have to pay for.. Its a total farce!

Preparing for payment seems to take a long time. I have visions of names being put in a pot after final checking and some apathetic apprentice slowly stirring the tombola before pulling out the winning tickets for the day.

Yes been offered an appeal and sent the paperwork and fee, which by the way even the RPA got the fee amount wrong. By doing the appeal that’s what triggered the service review, as in my case I was told by them I could claim and what to code as and then they turned round and said I wasn’t eligible. Losing me all the entitlements I bought and over 2k in the process. This whole thing almost cost me my business, it has cost me a lot of lost work.

Yes that is how they do it, almost...i think they use a computer to do something similar, they are not allowed to favour any particular group, region, size or type of claim or anything that relates to when you were paid last year. Each member of staff gets a daily list to work through, whether they complete it or not the following day they get a new list to work through. I think what baffles us most is that they appear to leave everything until the last minute. @Brisel gave an example of a March submitted RLE1 form that was only recently queried, so what have they been doing the rest of the year?
